Welcome to Bassingbourn Community Primary School

Rainbow Fish Class

Choosing a school for your child is a very important decision and we hope that this website provides you with the necessary information to make an informed choice.

Rainbow Fish Class

Our aim: Staff, pupils, parents and governors at Bassingbourn Community Primary School work in partnership to offer a supportive environment where pupils are enthusiastic, ambitious, challenged by learning and demonstrate high standards of behaviour.

Our vision: We aspire to develop successful independent learners who are equipped to develop the necessary resilience to become articulate, compassionate citizens of the future. We know our pupils well and actively encourage them to reflect on their place and their contribution within the school community and the wider world.

Rachael Schofield and Sue Brown, Headteachers.

The safety and protection of children and the community are the top priority of Bassingbourn Primary school and Cambridgeshire County Council.

We are writing to remind all parents to be mindful of cyclists, pedestrians and other drivers when they are dropping off or picking up their children. Recently the drop off area has become overcrowded as people have been using this area to park.

The school and the County Council are working to identify solutions or alternative arrangements which may help the situation. We appreciate your support in this and respectfully request that everyone drives and parks carefully and considerately in this area and ask that you do not mount pavements or double or triple park.
