Drama

Role-play and verbal expression encourage pupils to develop characterisation and creative storytelling. Pupils may use drama in class in preparation for completing written work or as a more creative way of exploring a subject.

Role play areas in EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes promote speaking and listening whilst the older pupils use poetry, debate and dramatic scenarios to encourage clear, audible, public speaking. All year groups perform an annual production to parents and the wider school community to demonstrate their dramatic skills.
